Volunteers
At Kingston WelCare we have opportunities for local residents/parents to support our activities, develop new skills and make new friends, while supporting us maintain our much needed services. Volunteering is also a great way for empty nesters and stay at home parents to use their life experience to support others in their local community, and Kingston WelCare is really a home from home for parents at vunerable times on their parenting journey.

Types of Roles Available:
1. Help running the Parent's Place Session and Cafe
Includes welcoming and chatting with parents, helping with registrations, supporting play sessions and making drinks for guests.
2. Housekeeping
This covers a wide range of daily tasks that we need to do to keep WelCare House, the projects and the equipments tidy and ready for use.
3. Basic DIY
Routine maintenance jobs around the house: changing light bulbs, painting and small repairs.
4. Office Support
Basic: Filing, shredding, clearing files, answering telephones and answering the door.
Advanced: Computer projects: Creating Newsletters and managing our Database.
5. Gardening
Weekly weeding, watering the plants, and general maintenance of the WelCare garden, including involving our parents and children in gardening sessions.
6. Support with Groups
Running sessions or helping by shopping or preparing materials for weekly sessions.
7. WelCare Committee Member
Join WelCare Executee committee and manage the organisation; or Parents committee and take an active role in shaping the organisation and ensure the voice of currents parent members are represented.
